LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell Athletics has been celebrating the 50th anniversary of Title IX throughout the 2022-23 academic year, and on Friday evening an alumnae networking event followed by a panel discussion on the history of women's athletics will headline the yearlong festivities.
Lewisburg mayor and 2006 Bucknell graduate Kendy Alvarez will moderate the panel discussion, which is open to the public beginning at 7 p.m. in Trout Auditorium on campus. The forum features Bucknell Hall-of-Fame coach and administrator Terrie Grieb, Hall-of-Fame athletes Jennifer Yuengling '93 and Christa Matlack '11, and three-time track and field All-American Maura Fiamoncini '21.
Prior to the panel discussion, Bucknell's five Patriot League "Trailblazers of Distinction" will be recognized.
