One of the all-time greats in Bucknell women's lacrosse history, Sue Gray Berhinger was a four-year starter in the sport and held eight school records at graduation, including the career mark of 127 goals. Gray Berhinger was the first player in school history to score 100 goals as she led Bucknell to its most successful season to that point in 1984. Named to the All-East Coast Conference team as a junior and the Central Pennsylvania Women's Lacrosse Association first team as a junior and senior, Gray Behringer was invited to the U.S. Women's Lacrosse Association trials and participated in the national tournament in her junior and senior years. Also a goalie on the Bison field hockey team for four years, Behringer co-captained both teams in her senior year and won the Christy Mathewson Award as the outstanding senior athlete. A graduate of Archbishop Keough High School, Gray Behringer went on to become a successful high school field hockey and lacrosse coach.
