- 2003
Sport: Women's Lacrosse
Suzanne Raffaele, who became the all-time leading goal-scorer in the history of Bison Women’s Lacrosse, was the eighth member of that program to enter the Hall of Fame. Buoyed by a 40-goal season as a senior, Raffaele’s 144 goals eclipsed Michelle Manion’s previous school mark that had stood for 14 years. At the time, Raffaele was just the fourth Bucknell player to reach the 100-goal mark, and in 2003 she became the sixth player in conference history to earn All-Patriot League honors in all four years of her career.
As a senior, the Springfield, Pa., native and Archmere Academy graduate was named to the Brine/IWLCA All-Region Second Team, becoming only the third Bison to achieve that honor. Not only was Raffaele the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2003, but she also earned Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors and was the lone Patriot League player selected for the North-South All-Star Game. Raffaele was selected as the Patriot League Rookie of the Year after scoring 35 goals, including 15 in league play, in 2000.
Raffaele produced four straight 30-goal seasons, and her 173 career points was also a school record at the time of her graduation. In 2015 she was the lone Bison named to the Patriot League 25th Anniversary Team.
