Women's Track & Field Completes Second Day of the Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C.- Bucknell women's track & field finished the second day of the Raleigh Relays with two top 25 finishes in the discus throw and a participant in the triple jump.
Results
Justley Sharp continued her first appearance since last year's outdoor season with a solid first outing in the discus throw. The Bucknell record holder in the event placed 16th with a throw of 45.34m (148-9), which arrived in her first attempt. Sharp fouled in the next try and her third fling flew 42.87m (140-7).
Madison Fowler enjoyed a career day in the discus throw, tossing a personal best 43.02m (141-2) to finish 21st. Her first attempt went 39.33m (129-0). The PR throw came on the second try. Fowler's final chance flew a respectable 41.23m (135-3).
Megan Baggetta, who finished fifth at the Patriot Indoor Championships in the triple jump, did not maintain her momentum into the outdoor season. She fouled on all three of her attempts.
The Raleigh Relays conclude tomorrow with Madison Fowler's participation in the hammer throw.
