Overview
"We have a very busy weekend with some of our top field event athletes competing Thurs-Fri-Sat at the Raleigh Relays at NC State," said head coach Kevin Donner. "We wanted to reward these athletes with a warm weather meet against top flight competition. We also host a dual meet against Binghamton on Sunday. Binghamton has a nice full dimensional program that will provide a good competitive atmosphere. We are obviously trying to win that meet. Also, Evie Bliss is competing at the USATF Winter Long Throws Championship against some professionals at Arizona, so that will be a great way to start her season for the Javelin."
"The snow is gone and the javelins are flying," said throws coach Ryan Protzman. "This is a great opportunity for Evie to see the top competition in the USA to kick her season off. The top three from USATF Outdoors will be competing. Evie is a great place physically and mentally. If she can kick this early week stomach bug, it is going to be a great weekend to set up her NCAA season."
"I'm really excited for my season opener this weekend," Bliss said. "It's a great meet with amazing competition. I am hoping to do something big to set up the rest of my season!"
Last Time Out (Patriot League Indoor Championships)
Bucknell heads to the Colonial Relays over Easter weekend.
