When: Saturday, March 28, 9 a.m.
Where: Charles River, Cambridge, Mass.
RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell rowing team makes its 2026 debut on Saturday, taking on Patriot League rivals MIT and Holy Cross as part of the Charles River Racing Series. The Bison will have four boats on the water – two eights and two fours – in the first of at least six race days on the spring schedule.
Bucknell competed twice in the fall in addition to a winter training trip. The Varsity Eight raced at the famed Head of the Charles in October and finished 17th in a field of 43 in the Women's Club Eights category, which was comprised of a combination of collegiate and club crews. By finishing in the top half of the field, the Bison earned a trip back to the Head of the Charles next fall.
Two weeks later, the Bison had 11 boats in action, ranging from singles to eights, at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie.
The team's lone home event of the spring will take place next Saturday at the Bucknell River Complex in Shamokin Dam. Lehigh, Drexel, and George Washington are also slated to compete on the Susquehanna River, as first-year head coach Katy Ruderman's squad continues to build for the Patriot League Championships on May 15 on the Cooper River.
