Women’s Rowing Returns to Princeton Chase on Sunday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell rowing team is set to compete at the Princeton Chase for the second straight year. The large, 3-mile event is contested on Lake Carnegie, and the Bison will have four eights entered on Sunday, with racing starting at 10 a.m. The event features top boats from around the country, including the likes of Virginia, Rutgers, Oklahoma, Clemson, and Iowa, along with Ivy League powers Princeton and Penn.

This is the third of four fall events for the Bison squad. The Varsity Eight is coming off a strong 13th-place performance in a 44-boat field at the Head of the Charles two weeks ago, and the team also fared well in home races against Lehigh, Drexel, and Delaware earlier in the month.

The Bison will return to the state of New Jersey for the US Rowing Small Boat National Championship on Mercer Lake on Nov. 14.
