RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell rowing team took on a star-studded field at the Princeton Chase on Sunday, and the Bison Varsity Eight turned in a strong 19th-place finish in a field of 64 boats.

The 1V8+ finished the three-mile course in 14:59.206, which was 1:28 behind Virginia's winning entry. The Cavaliers finished in 13:31.211, five seconds ahead of Princeton and 17 seconds in front of third-place Rutgers.

Bucknell had four boats on Lake Carnegie on Sunday. In addition to the Varsity Eight, the 2V8+ finished in 40th place (15:40.101), the 3V8+ took 51st (16:22.801), and the 4V8+ placed 63rd (18:14.354).

The Bison will return to the state of New Jersey for the US Rowing Small Boat National Championship on Mercer Lake on Nov. 14.
