A four-year starter in field hockey and co-captain of the 1979 team, Kathy Kline Grove was a nominee for the Broderick Award, which honors the outstanding female collegiate athlete in the country, in 1980. Also a lacrosse co-captain who played one year each of basketball and tennis, she finished her field hockey career with 48 goals, second-most behind fellow Hall-of-Famer Karin Wegener. Kline twice played for the Mid-East Team in the national field hockey tournament and was one of four Bucknell players on the team that won the Third International Friendship Tournament in Mexico City in 1978. Kline came to Bucknell from Lebanon (Pa.) High School.Â
