Lynne Walshaw was an All-East Coast Conference selection in both basketball and softball during a standout career at Bucknell. In the gymnasium, she scored 1,209 points and grabbed 678 rebounds, and she set Bucknell records for field goal and free throw percentages. A tenacious defender, Walshaw also set the Bucknell all-time steals record with 316. On the softball diamond, Walshaw set eight school career marks and batted .307 over the course of her career as an all-conference outfielder. Walshaw was a scholastic star at nearby Shikellamy High School and continued to reside in the area after graduation.Â
