A native of Woodbridge, Va., Mikaela Schaller is the daughter of Michael and Kira Schaller. She graduated from and coxed for Bishop Ireton High School. Majoring in international relations and French & Francophone studies, Mikaela graduated as a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Bucknell University Dean’s List. Mikaela was also named a CRCA Scholar Athlete in 2018.
In her time on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, Mikaela was a coxswain on three Patriot League Championship boats. As a sophomore, she earned a gold medal in the Second Varsity Eight. As a junior and senior, she raced in the Varsity Eight, earning a sixth-place finish and a bronze medal, respectively. Outside of rowing, Mikaela was president of Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society for International Studies and vice president of Gender & Sexuality Alliance.
