A native of Fairfield, Conn., Erin Rigney is the daughter of Ken and Laura Rigney. She graduated from Fairfield Ludlowe High School and rowed for Saugatuck Rowing Club. Majoring in environmental geoscience and Spanish, Erin was as a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and Bucknell University Dean’s List.
In her time on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, Erin earned a bronze medal in the Freshman Eight, a gold medal in the Third Varsity Eight as a sophomore, and a silver in the Second Varsity Four as a junior at the Dad Vail Regatta. She also earned a silver medal in the Varsity Four at the Patriot League Championships during her sophomore season. Outside of rowing, Erin was a member of the Bucknell Athletics Leadership Institute and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In the fall of 2019, Erin earned a gold medal in the Varsity Four at the 1969 Cup. Unfortunately, the 2019-2020 campaign was cut short due to COVID-19.
