A native of Bethesda, Md., Helena Craig is the daughter of Sean Craig and Christianna King. She graduated from and rowed for Walt Whitman High School. Majoring in international relations with a minor in French, Helena graduated as a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Bucknell University Dean’s List. Additionally, Helena was named to the IRA All Academic Team in 2013.
In her time on the Bucknell women’s rowing team, Helena was a member of two IRA Lightweight National Championship boats and two Patriot League Championship boats. As a freshman and junior, she earned a silver and bronze medal in the Lightweight Eight at the IRAs. As a sophomore and senior, Helena earned a gold medal in the Varsity Four and a silver in the Varsity Eight at the Patriot League Championships. She also raced at the Dad Vail Regatta four times. Helena earned a gold and silver medal in the Lightweight Eight, a silver medal in the Varsity Four and a silver medal in the Varsity Eight. Outside of rowing, Helena was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
