LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Bucknell rowing team excelled both on the water and in the classroom this past spring. The Bison turned in a strong second-place finish at the Patriot League Championships, all while combining for a stellar 3.50 team grade-point average. On Wednesday, 29 members of the squad were named to the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.Â
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have earned a minimum 3.20 GPA in the spring semester while participating in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports. Bucknell recorded a league-high 569 student-athletes out of a total of 3,900 honorees. The next-highest total was Lafayette's 472. Across all 27 varsity sports, Bison student-athletes averaged a 3.52 GPA in the 2026 spring semester.Â
Of the rowing team's 29 Honor Roll members, 23 also made the Bucknell Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better. Eight Bison earned perfect 4.0s in the spring: Morgan Brill, Caroline Cawley, Clara Eikeboom, Kaitlyn Furtney, Kalena Gatesman, Grace Pepper, Abaigeal Robertson, and Maya Snyder. Earlier in the spring, nine rowers earned CRCA Scholar-Athlete Awards, and Eikeboom and Gatesman were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Gatesman also made the Academic All-Patriot League squad at season's end.
