Bucknell Athletics Places League-High 539 Student-Athletes on PL Academic Honor Roll in 2024-25

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell's 24 Patriot League-sponsored varsity athletics programs combined to place 539 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll -- the most in the league by a wide margin -- during the 2024-25 academic year. The league office released the Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll on Thursday, and Bucknell led all schools with 341 honorees. The Bison also led the conference with 198 student-athletes on the Fall Academic Honor Roll, which was announced in February.

Bucknell has long ascribed to a true scholar-athlete model, and Bison student-athletes annually perform very well academically. The 2025 spring semester was no exception, as Bucknell's more than 750 varsity student-athletes combined for a stellar 3.48 grade-point average. A total of 423 student-athletes made the Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better, and 96 recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs.

Bucknell's 539 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recipients were 91 more than the next-highest total, Lafayette's 448. Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the Academic Honor Roll for achieving a 3.2 GPA or better during the semester in which their league champion is crowned.
