Men's Tennis Places Eight on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Eight of the nine members of the Bucknell men's tennis team earned spots on the 2024-25 Patriot League Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league announced on Thursday. It was a banner spring for the Bison both on and off the courts, as the squad captured its first conference championship since 1991 while also combining for a stellar 3.53 team grade-point average.
Junior Amar Tahirovic captured both the Patriot League Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, and he was joined on the Academic All-Patriot League Team by classmate Adam Stavrakas. Six Bison made the Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better this spring.
Patriot League student-athletes are selected to the Academic Honor Roll for achieving a 3.2 GPA or better during the semester in which their league champion is crowned. Bucknell placed a league-high 341 total student-athletes on the Winter-Spring Honor Roll and a league-high 539 across the Fall and Winter-Spring listings.
