DRAWS/RESULTS

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Bucknell senior Liam Kilmer won twice on Saturday to advance to the singles final at the Patriot League qualifier for the ITA Conference Masters Championships at West Point. Kilmer, the No. 4 seed, will face top-seeded Alex Van Lumich of Lehigh at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.

After opening with a straight-set win over Holy Cross' Matthew Carlson on Friday, Kilmer came right back on Saturday morning and downed Boston University's David Dai 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the quarterfinal round. In the semis, Kilmer bested second-seeded Jimin Jung of Army 6-3, 6-3.

Kilmer will be trying to follow in the footsteps of former teammate Amar Tahirovic, who won this event in each of the last two seasons. Kilmer has never faced Van Lumich, who was a First Team All-Patriot League selection with an 18-2 record last season in his first year at Lehigh after transferring from Purdue Northwest. The winner earns a bid to the national ITA Conference Masters event in Rome, Ga., on Nov. 5-8, where four singles players and two doubles teams will automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Bucknell freshman Enoch Lin lost his quarterfinal match in three sets to Boston University's Payton Jim On, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2. In the doubles semifinals, Lin and classmate Brady Friesen fell 8-4 to Navy's Ethan Garcia and Lachlan Buckingham.
