Bison Recognize Class of 2022
• Before Friday's game against Lafayette, the Bison will recognize their 12 seniors: Matthew Barkauskas, Nick Crovatto, Reid Delanois, Frankie Higgins, Jared Hodell, Brenden Lundy, Travis Talarico, Alston Tarry, Zach Tucker, Jack Van Slyke, Harry Wellford and Drew Wellington.
• Barkauskas, Crovatto, Talarico and Wellford are serving as team captains this year.
• Talarico was a 2020 Honorable Mention Inside Lacrosse All-American while Wellford made the past two Preseason All-Patriot League Teams.
• Crovatto is only the fourth Bison to win at least 300 career faceoffs. He has also seized spots in Bucknell's top 10 in both career and single-season ground balls.Â
• Tarry has started the Bison's past 38 games at attack. Talarico, who began his career as a long-stick defensive midfielder, has started all 26 of Bucknell's games over the past three seasons to date at close defense.
• In the Bison's most recent game against Holy Cross, Tarry broke the school record in points with 12 on equal totals of goals and assists.

• For the ninth week in a row, the Bison received votes in the USILA Coaches' Poll.

• The 2022 team was the fourth to start a season 5-0, joining the 1970, 1996 and 2007 squads. The Bison won their first five games in 2022 and 2007, their first seven tilts in 1970 and all 12 of their contests in 1996.
• At the NCAA Division I level, Bucknell ranks tied for fourth in ground balls per game (37.42), fifth in caused turnovers per game (10.33), sixth in assists per game (9.00) and 11th in points per game (23.25). The Bison are also tied for 10th in scoring margin (4.00), 15th in scoring defense (10.25) and tied for 15th in scoring offense (14.25).
• Attackman Connor Davis was added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List on March 10. Currently, he is the lone freshman be recognized as a contender for this prestigious award, which honors the top college lacrosse player in the United States.
• Davis (No. 4) and goalie Rich O'Halloran (No. 15) were listed in Inside Lacrosse's Top 25 Freshman Impact Rankings.
• During the abbreviated 2021 season, Bucknell posted a 2-6 (1-5 PL) record, missing the Patriot League Tournament for only the third time since 2005.
• In 2020, the Bison went 5-1 (0-0 PL). The week their season was canceled due to the COVID-19 public health threat, they were ranked 20th in the USILA Coaches' Poll.
• In 2019, Bucknell logged a 6-9 (4-4 PL) record. The Bison closed the regular season on a four-game winning streak and earned their 13th Patriot League Tournament berth in 15 seasons.
• Bucknell was selected to finish seventh in the 2022 Patriot League preseason poll. Midfielder Harry Wellford represented the Bison on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team for the second-straight season.
• Bucknell returned defenseman Travis Talarico, a 2020 Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American.

• Alston Tarry's record-breaking 12-point outing led Bucknell to a 23-7 victory over Holy Cross on April 17.
• Tarry registered his 12 points on equal totals of goals and assists to propel the Bison past the Crusaders, breaking the previous standard by one. His point total is the second highest posted by a NCAA Division I player this season.
