Bison Recognize Class of 2021
• Before their game against Colgate, the Bison will recognize their nine members of the class of 2021.
• Bucknell's seniors are Julia Bradbury, Eve Calabria, Lauren Kinnee, Michelle Melville, Lydia Morgantini, Kali Peeples, Mason Rode, Caroline Walsh and Gabby Walsh.
• Bradbury, Peeples and Rode are serving as team captains this season. Peeples is in her second campaign as captain.
• Calabria ranks seventh in school history with 49 career assists while Rode matched the program record in single-game ground balls (8) last Saturday against American.
Bucknell at a Glance
• Bucknell is 2-3 (2-2 PL) on the season following its 17-15 victory over American on April 3. Sophomore Caroline Miller had a breakout game, registering the first six points of her collegiate career on five goals and one assist. In addition, Mason Rode filled the stat sheet with a hat trick, eight ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers. Most notably, she matched the school record in single-game ground balls.
• The Bison posted a 3-5 (0-0 PL) record during their abbreviated 2020 campaign. Their victories were over Sacred Heart (18-9), Binghamton (16-9) and Campbell (13-10).
• In 2019, Bucknell went 4-13 (2-7 PL) and placed ninth in the Patriot League.
• In senior Eve Calabria, the Bison returned their top point producer from both 2020 (16g-14a) and 2019 (14g-20a). They lost three of their top five point producers from 2020 and three of their top five point producers from 2019 to graduation; like Calabria, Caroline Walsh (4th with 10g-3a in 2020) and Julia Bradbury (5th with 17g-3a in 2019) are each back for her senior year.
• Bucknell returned the majority of its defensive core in senior Gabby Walsh, juniors Eva Macris and Abby Neff and sophomore Ella Payer. They need to replace Jessie Britton, a two-time Academic All-Patriot League pick who started all 41 of the Bison's games over her final three seasons in Lewisburg.
• Bucknell's three goalies returned for 2021. A year ago, senior Lauren Kinnee and junior Caitlin Tucker each saw time in net as the Bison looked to replace four-year starter Jamisen DeWitt.
• Bucknell welcomed 13 newcomers ahead of the 2021 campaign; the newcomers hail from eight different states: Connecticut (3), Pennsylvania (3), New York (2), California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas. This is the second-straight year the Bison welcomed an incoming class of "lucky" 13.
• Bradbury, Macris, Rode and Kali Peeples are serving as team captains this year.
• Jackie Dando is in her second season as head coach. She spent the previous seven years at Lebanon Valley College, posting an 82-49 overall record and a 41-14 conference ledger. Lebanon Valley qualified for the MAC Commonwealth Conference in each of her seven seasons as head coach, culminating with the program's first league championship and NCAA Division III tournament berth in 2019.

Colgate at a Glance
• Colgate is currently 4-2 (3-1 PL) on the season, most recently falling to Army West Point, 14-7, on April 4.
• The Raiders posted a 3-4 (0-0 PL) record during their abbreviated 2020 campaign. In 2019, they went 8-10 (5-4 PL) and advanced to the Patriot League Tournament semifinals following a 14-13 victory at Boston University.
• Colgate was picked to finish sixth in the 2021 Patriot League Preseason Poll and placed midfielder Noelle Patterson on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team.
• The Raiders lead the all-time series with the Bison, 36-4.
• In 2019 in Hamilton, N.Y., Colgate held on to defeat Bucknell, 12-11. Following a Kali Peeples tally that made it a 12-11 game, Samantha Croston stopped two free-position bids to keep the Raiders up by one. But Croston turned the ball over with 19 seconds left to play, giving the Bison one last opportunity to send the game to overtime for the third time in the past four games. Audrey Walsh's shot hit the post as time expired, and Colgate emerged a one-goal victor.
• In 2017, Bucknell snapped a 14-game losing skid to the Raiders with a 12-11 victory at Graham Field. After Colgate scored five unanswered goals in the final seven minutes of regulation to tie the game at 11 apiece, Morgan Steinhacker netted the game-winning goal with 24 seconds left play. Mary Margaret Kenney (5g) and Maddy Molinari (3g-2a) led the Bison offense and also combined to post 13 draw controls.
• The Bison will travel to Loyola (Md.) for their second meeting of the season on Saturday, April 17. The opening draw is set for 6 p.m.
