
Bucknell Women's Lacrosse Drops 19-3 Decision at Drexel

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Charlotte Wood scored six goals and Jaclyn Klunder had two goals and four assists to lead Drexel to a 19-3 victory over visiting Bucknell Sunday at Vidas Field. Alyssa DeLorenz (Garland, Texas/Plano East) made 16 saves for the Bison, who fell to 1-4 on the season.
Drexel (3-1) scored twice in the opening minute of the game and never looked back. The Bison pulled within 2-1 on a free-position shot by Julia Braun (Tomkins Cove, N.Y./North Rockland), but the Dragons scored the next six goals in a row.
Katie Blazer's 8-meter tally gave the Dragons an 8-1 lead before Katelyn Miller (Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh) got on the board for Bucknell.
Drexel led 10-2 at the half and it was 18-2 when Madison Hurwitz (Holland, Pa./Council Rock) scored Bucknell's third free-position goal of the day with 2:20 left in the game.
Braun tied Ali Carey (Clarksville, Md./Garrison Forest) for the team scoring lead with 10 goals. DeLorenz how has 57 saves in five games this season. Miller led the defense with three caused turnovers, while Braun and Char Damico (Haverford, Pa./Baldwin School) had two ground balls apiece.
Next up for the Bison is a home game against Saint Francis (Pa.) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
