About this Weekend
• Bucknell is back on the courts this weekend for its second of at least five fall tournaments. Carnegie Mellon's tournament uses a "hidden duals" format, and the Bison will be facing players from Duquesne on Friday at 11 a.m., Carnegie Mellon on Saturday at 9 a.m., and Edinboro on Sunday at 9 a.m.
• Carnegie Mellon features a very strong Division III men's tennis team. The Tartans went 15-6 last season, were ranked in the top 10 nationally, and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Championship, where they lost to No. 8 Swarthmore 4-1.
• Duquesne finished 7-11 last season, with one of the losses a 6-1 decision against Bucknell at the Central PA Tennis Center in February.
• The Bison are coming off a solid showing at Binghamton's Carousel Classic two weeks ago. Eight players saw action against Binghamton and Buffalo, and the Bison combined for an 11-8 record in singles and 11-4 in doubles.
• All five freshmen made their collegiate debuts at Binghamton. Enoch Lin and Brady Friesen both posted 4-1 records in doubles and 2-1 marks in singles. Vlad Dombrovskyi and Jovan Morales both went 3-1 in doubles and 2-1 in singles, and Justin Yuan finished 1-2 in both singles and doubles.
• Senior Will Robinson and junior Nelson Alapi both went unbeaten (3-0) in doubles.
• Robinson and Liam Kilmer are the team's lone seniors and most experienced players following the graduation of one of the finest senior classes in team history. Amar Tahirovic, Adam Stavrakas, Oscar Bain Moreno de Vega, and Brendan McDonald comprised the winningest class in program annals and led the Bison to the 2025 Patriot League title.

• Next up for the Bison is a trip to Penn for the ITA Regionals Oct. 15-18.
