WLAX Hosts Lafayette in Friday Night Conference Game

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's lacrosse is set to host Lafayette for a Friday night game under the lights at Christy MAthewson-Memorial Stadium. The Patriot League contest is set for Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m.
The Bison currently sit at 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot League after defeating Holy Cross 12-11 in Worcester on Saturday. The Leopards enter the game 4-7 overall and 0-5 in the Patriot League on a six-game losing streak after falling to #15 Loyola (Md.) 16-7 at home.
Lafayette leads the overall series with Bucknell 35-11 since the two teams first met in 1978, but the Bison are on a one-game losing streak with the Leopards after falling to them 11-10 on the road last season.

Bucknell's Last Time Out
- After coach Jackie Dando called a timeout with a tied game and 2:47 left to play, Megan Krestinski split the Holy Cross defense with a nice move and sent a shot straight to the back of the net to earn Bucknell a 12-11 win over the Crusaders in Worcester and extend its winning streak to three.
- With the road win, the Bison snapped a six-game losing streak against Holy Cross and moved to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the Patriot League. Bucknell now sits tied at fourth in the conference with Holy Cross and holds the tiebreaker. Dando also earned her seventh win of the season in this game, which marks the most wins in a single season throughout her tenure.
- The Crusaders dominated the draw with 21 of the 25 draw control wins in the game, but it was their turnovers that plagued them. Holy Cross recorded 24 turnovers to Bucknell's nine. Both teams caused six turnovers on the afternoon, with six different Bison accounting for their side. Bucknell additionally out-paced Holy Cross in ground balls 19-10 with Regan Sansiviero and Kate Hearns leading its efforts with three apiece.
- Caleigh Cummiskey led Bucknell's scoring attack with six points on four goals and two assists. Megan Krestinski ended the game with a hat-trick, including the game winner as she notched four-points on three goals and one assist. Alex Nesbitt was the other Bison to find a hat-trick in the game, ending with three goals, one caused turnover and two ground balls. Alex Macutek and Estella Geller rounded out Bucknell's scoring with one goal each.
- Bella Crowley was in the back of the net for Bucknell in today's win. The junior recorded seven saves and 11 goals against for a .389 save percentage. Crowley came up with a couple of big saves down the stretch to keep the game tied up and allow Krestinski to find a late game-winner.
