The Bison dominated the third quarter with six goals to Lafayette's two to make it 13-5. The Leopards answered with a goal from Kristen Igneri to cut the deficit to two with 9:42 left in the first half. After almost six minutes of scoreless back and forth play later with both defensive sides stepping up, Browne secured a first half hat-trick off of a smooth assist from Krestinski to make it 5-2 with 3:59 to go in the first half.
