WLAX Takes the Road for Midweek Game at American

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's lacrosse is heading on the road for a mid-week Patriot League game against American on Wednesday, April 15 at 1 p.m.
The Bison currently sit at 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the Patriot League after defeating Lafayette at home on Friday night and extending their conference winning streak to four. Bucknell is currently sitting at fourth in the Patriot League with three games left prior to the conference playoffs. The Eagles come into the game 3-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play after defeating Holy Cross in its senior day game on Saturday.
American holds the overall series with Bucknell 17-13 since the two teams first met in 1994 and the Bison came away with the series opening win. Despite the Eagles holding an overall lead on Bucknell. The Bison took the most recent contest with American at home 11-9.

Bucknell's Last Time Out
- Catherine Dineen, a senior defender and captain, led Bucknell in a solid defensive game with four caused turnovers and scored her career-first goal as the Bison defeated Lafayette 15-8 in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium on Friday night.
- With the win, the Bison moved to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the Patriot League.
- The first quarter was a low scoring effort as both defenses stood tall. Bucknell edged out Lafayette 3-1 as Katie Browne, Caleigh Cummiskey and Megan Krestinski each found a point. The second quarter saw more scoring, including three more goals from Browne as Bucknell extended its lead to four at the half. The Bison dominated the third quarter with six goals to Lafayette's two to make it 13-5. The Leopards outscored the Bison 3-1 in the fourth, but it wouldn't be enough to overtake Bucknell as it would earn a 15-8 victory.
- Browne led Bucknell in scoring with four goals. Cummiskey was the other Bison to notch a hat-trick as she found three goals in the contest. Krestinski led the team in points with five on two goals and three assists.
- Bucknell recorded more ground balls than Lafayette as the Bison found 31 to Lafayette's 14. Jess Leon and Kate Hearns both led the Bison in ground balls with five each.
- The Leopards dominated the draw as they recorded 19 draw controls to Bucknell's six. Five of the six draw controls that went the Bison's way came from Krestinski. Bucknell was able to maintain the lead as Lafayette committed 26 turnovers to the Bison's 19 and Bucknell recorded 19 caused turnovers to the Leopards 12. Dineen led Bucknell in caused turnovers with four.
- Bella Crowley started in the back of the net for the Bison and recorded seven saves and seven goals against for a .500 save percentage in the contest. Julia Dembowitz came in late in the fourth quarter and recorded one save and one goal against for a .500 save percentage.
American at a Glance
- The Eagles enter the game 3-10 overall and 2-4 in the Patriot League after upsetting Holy Cross on Saturday at home for their senior day game.
