About the Bison

After opening the spring with tournaments in Arizona and Southern California, the Bison stay on the East Coast this week Villanova's spring event at Galloway National GC just outside Atlantic City, N.J. The strong field includes Patriot League rivals Colgate, Loyola, and Navy.
Bucknell will have six players in action this week. The five starters will be James Robbins, Hayden Quinn, Taylor Kuehn, Jack Hartman, and Patrick Pritsios. Hunter Duncan will tee it up as an individual.
The Bison are coming off a 14th-place finish at the UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines two weeks ago. After struggling in the opening round of the 54-hole event, Bucknell finished strong with a 1-under 287 team score.
Robbins was the low Bison at Torrey Pines, finishing T-25th with an even-par 216 total (73-72-71). Robbins, Hartman (70), and Kuehn (70) all broke par on the final day, while Pritsios carded a 2-under 70 in the second round.
Quinn played unattached and had a good week at Torrey with rounds of 74-74-72.
Robbins has the team's low spring average at 72.5, with Hartman close behind at 72.7. Over the full fall and spring seasons, Hartman's 73.3 is just ahead of Robbins at 74.2 and Pritsios at 74.8.
The Bison played in five fall tournaments, with a top finish of T-4th at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
This year's Patriot League Championship will be contested at the West Point Golf Course Apr. 24-26.
Bucknell finished T-4th at last year's Patriot League Championship, and the Bison returned both of their all-league honorees in sophomores Hartman and Pritsios.

Next Up

Bucknell will get a look at the West Point Golf Course on Apr. 11 when the Bison takes on Holy Cross in a match play competition. Bucknell will head to Penn State for the Rutherford Intercollegiate on Apr. 18-19 before returning to West Point for the Patriot League Championship the following week.
