Water Polo Faces Two Conference Foes on Saturday

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's water polo (11-9, 1-3 CWPA) finishes the regular season this Saturday with two conference games against #22 Brown (11-6, 1-2 CWPA) and Mercyhurst (5-10, 1-3 CWPA) on Saturday at the CWPA Crossover at Princeton. The Bison face #22 Brown at 2 p.m. and Mercyhurst at 5:30 p.m.

Bucknell went 2-3 on its California spring break trip, defeating Occidental and Whittier but falling to three ranked opponents.
Olivia Hopper leads the team with 45 goals and 99 points.
The Bison have a balanced attack with six players recording over 20 goals.
Campbell Collins paces the team with 23 assists.
Tamara Torkos has supplied 210 saves and played every single minute in the cage.

Opposition Overview

Brown is 11-6 overall and 1-2 in CWPA play. The Bears rank #22 in the latest CWPA Top 25 poll. Brown is 1-6 against ranked foes but 10-0 versus unranked opposition. The Bears also boast a strong attack with six players scoring more than 20 goals. This matchup will likely decide the fourth seed in the conference tournament. Bucknell upset Brown last year in the first round of the CWPA Tournament.
Mercyhurst is 5-10 overall and 1-3 in CWPA games. Four of the Lakers' five wins have come across Division III opposition. The Division I victory was a 9-8 upset over conference rival Saint Francis. Otherwise, Mercyhurst has lost every Division I game by double-digits except for a 14-5 defeat to La Salle.
