LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's water polo (2-1) enlists in the VMI (Virginia Military Institute) Invite this weekend when the Bison travel to Lexington, Virginia for three games. The Orange & Blue face Salem on Friday and Route 15 Rival Mount St. Mary's and VMI on Saturday. The weekend will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Inside "Herd" on the Bison

Bucknell started the 2026 season with a 2-1 record at the Princeton Invite.
The Bison defeated LIU 13-9 and receiving votes Iona 12-9 on the first day.
Bucknell battled #24 Wagner the next day but fell 14-8.
Olivia Hopper led Bucknell with seven goals on the weekend.
Hopper paced the Bison with 89 tallies last season - the second-highest mark in program history.
The Orange & Blue went 3-0 at last year's VMI Invite, defeating Gannon, McKendree, and Mount St. Mary's.

Opposition Overview

Salem lost 22-10 to Villanova in its only action of 2026.
VMI is 3-1 on the season after starting the season in California. Sadie Smith leads the Keydets with ten goals.
Mount St. Mary's is 0-3 after playing Brown, Indiana, and Princeton to begin the 2026 campaign.
