Water Polo Heads North for Harvard Invite at Brown

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell women's water polo (7-5, 1-3 CWPA), after spending two weekends at home, departs Kinney Natatorium for the Harvard Invite at Brown for a series of three games against #21 Wagner, LIU, and UC Merced. The Bison will rematch Wagner and LIU on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and finish the weekend against UC Merced on Sunday at 10 a.m.

- Bucknell sits at 7-5 overall and 1-3 in CWPA play after last weekend's 0-3 performance against #7 Harvard, #12 Princeton, and #14 Michigan.
- The Orange & Blue fought hard against their ranked conference rivals but ultimately dropped every game.Â
- Olivia Hopper did not record a goal Michigan, shattering her streak of scoring every game.Â
- Hopper leads the team with 30 goals and 64 points.Â
- Three Bison are tied for second place with 14 goals - Olivia Garcia, Gwen Kallmeyer, and Bella Schraa.Â
- Tamara Torkos has supplied 126 saves and played every single minute in the cage.Â
- Two freshmen have reached double-digits in goals: Olivia Garcia (14) and Lin Naraoka (11).Â
- Wagner sits at #21 in the latest poll and owns a 3-6 record but has a two-game winning streak. All six losses have come to ranked foes while the Seahawks are 3-0 against unranked opposition. Wagner defeated Bucknell 14-8 earlier this season.Â
- LIU is 3-7 overall against a moderately different schedule. They were on a bye last weekend after spending time in Arizona. The Bison edged LIU 13-9 at the Princeton Invite in January.Â
- UC Merced has only played five games this season, going 1-4 with a single win over Carthage College. Ava Faria leads the squad with nine goals. The Bobcats have rotated three goalies.Â
