Women's Lax Hosts St. Bonaventure on Saturday in Lacrosse Doubleheader at Christy

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Bucknell women's lacrosse is gearing up for its second home game of the season as it hosts St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 21 in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium at 3 p.m. The game is a part of a doubleheader in Christy with men's lacrosse facing off against Hobart at 11 a.m.
The Bison are 2-1 overall after dropping their contest to Penn State on the road 20-9, getting their first loss of the 2026 season. St. Bonaventure enters the contest 1-1 overall after defeating LIU at home 12-2 to earn its first win of the season.

Bucknell's Last Time Out
- Bucknell women's lacrosse fell to 2-1 on the season with a 21-9 loss to Penn State in University Park on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions utilized an 22-10 draw control differential to find more opportunities throughout the game and secure the win.
- The nine Bison goals scored ties Bucknell's highest number of goals scored against Penn State in program history. Caleigh Cummiskey led the Bison in scoring with a hat trick in the second half of play. Caroline Sheridan and Megan Kresitinski notched two goals apiece and Katie Browne and Alex Macutek rounded out Bucknell's scoring with one each. Only three of Bucknell's nine goals were assisted with the assists coming from Krestinski, Sheridan and Browne.
- Cat Dineen led the Bison in ground balls with four. The Bison only recorded four caused turnovers on the afternoon compared to the Nittany Lions nine. Jess Leon, Estella Geller, Regan Sansiviero and Juliana Pagano had the four caused turnovers for the Bison.
- While the Nittany Lions out-paced the Bison on the draw 22-10, Krestinski led Bucknell with four draw controls and Macutek followed closely behind with three. Kelly led Penn State in draw controls with 15.
- Turnovers between the two teams were close with Penn State recording eight to Bucknell's 10.
- Bella Crowley started in net for the Bison and ended with 16 goals against and three saves for a .158 save percentage. Julia Dembowitz saw time in her second consecutive game in net and had five goals against and one save for a .167 save percentage in her 25 minutes played.

- St. Bonaventure enters the contest 1-1 after defeating LIU 12-2 at home.
- The Bonnies' loss came at the hands of Colgate in St. Bonaventures home-opener as the Raiders defeated the Bonnies 14-12.

- This will be the 12th meeting between Bucknell and St. Bonaventure since the Bonnies won the first contest in 2011.
- The Bonnies lead the series 7-4 and are on a one game winning streak over the Bison as they took the last contest in 2024, 15-13.
