LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bison rowing squad heads to Worcester, Mass., on Sunday for the IRA Women's Eastern Sprints, one of the largest regattas in the northeast. Bucknell will have two eights and two fours in action on Lake Quinsigamond.

Patriot League rivals Boston University, Colgate, Holy Cross, Georgetown, and MIT are also part of the deep and talented field. Those crews will all meet again in two weeks at the Patriot League Championships on the Cooper River in New Jersey.

The Bison have enjoyed a strong spring season thus far. In their last outing at Eastern Michigan's Ford Lake Cup last Saturday, Bucknell finished second to Delaware in the team points standings. Propelled by wins in the Varsity Four and Second Varsity Eight, the Bison placed ahead of UMass, EMU, Temple, West Virginia, High Point, and Duquesne. Bucknell's 2V8+ earned Patriot League Boat of the Week honors on Wednesday.
