Kostic and Shaffer Named to All-Patriot League Teams

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Tijana Kostic and Sidney Shaffer have enjoyed excellent seasons and the conference voters rewarded the duo with well-deserved spots on the All-League Teams. Shaffer repeated as a First Team member and Kostic duplicated her Second Team laurels from last season. The pair has led Bucknell to its late season charge to finish 9-7 in the conference and earn the fourth seed in the upcoming conference tournament.

Shaffer, over the course of three seasons, has developed into one of the circuit's finest middle blockers. She leads the Bison in kills (274), hitting percentage (.336), points (331.5), and second in blocks (76). Her hitting percentage sits fifth in the loop. Shaffer broke the program's single-game hitting percentage record versus Holy Cross, batting .800. She established a new career single-game high in kills (19) against Loyola (Md.).

The junior middle blocker's .315 career hitting percentage ranks third in Bucknell history. She has posted 667 kills and 284 blocks in three seasons. Shaffer now has in her trophy case; the 2023 Patriot League Rookie of the Year, 2023 Patriot League Second Team, and 2024 & 2025 Patriot League First Team honors.

Kostic has been the Bison's offensive and defensive constant over the past two seasons. The senior outside hitter sits second on the team in kills (260), aces (20), and digs (247). She posted ten double-doubles this season, including a streak of sixth consecutive. Kostic gathered a career-high of 20 kills against Colgate in the epic five-set triumph.

The senior has posted impressive career stats with 710 kills and 597 digs. A capable server, she has 58 career aces. She is the first Bison to repeat at Second Team since Emily Pomeroy in 1997-98.

Bucknell hosts fifth-seeded Navy tomorrow in the Patriot League First Round.
