Last Time Out (Patriot League Indoor Championships)
- Meghan Quinn had a banner day, collecting 24 points. The senior runner won the 200-meter dash with a scintillating time of 23.73. The mark set a meet record and improved her Bucknell best ranking. Her 7.49 time in the 60-meter dash won her silver and broke Kaitlin Salisbury's record of 7.50 set in 2019. It is Quinn's ninth school record. Quinn finished her record-breaking day with a third-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay. The "A" Team of Colleen Linko, Katherine Loew, Anna Posh, and Quinn placed third (3:48.66) to unlock six points for the Bison.
- The Bison earned 13 points in the long jump. Lila Gaughan won silver with her attempt of 19-5 ½. The mark improved her second-all-time ranking in Bucknell history. The Orange & Blue's record holder for the event, Karen Hull, finished fourth (18-10) to win five points. Â
- Karen Hull reset the school record in the high jump with a leap of 5-10 ½. The jump bettered Hull's previous best of 5-8 by 2 ½ inches and supplied ten points to the Bison war chest. She added five points to the Bison effort with her fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. The senior had a time of 8.78.
- The Orange & Blue dominated the high jump. Olivia Boyce and Abby Kates shared second place with a leap of 5-6, with both jumpers earning seven points. Every other jumper finished 5-3 or lower. Boyce's mark of 5-6 placed her ninth in Bucknell history.
- The Bison jumps squad continued its success, with freshman Megan Baggetta notching third in the triple jump. Her mark of 39-2 ½ ranks seventh in Bucknell history.
- Quinn and Hull won First Team All-Patriot League honors.Â
- Boyce, Gaughan, and Quinn received Second Team All-Patriot League laurels.Â
- Bucknell finished third out of 43 teams, the highest placement in Bison history for the ECAC Championships.
- Siobhan O'Sullivan entered as the top seed in the shot put, and the thrower lived up to the advanced billing. She threw the ball a distance of 46-10.25 to outpace all challengers, win gold, and claim 10 points for the Bison cause.Â
- Meghan Quinn spent the 2022-23 indoor season repeatedly breaking the 200 200-meter dash mark, and the now-then junior sprinter, one day after breaking the record, shattered it again in the finals. Quinn finished fifth, but her time of 24.03 resided as the first-place mark in the Bucknell lists by 0.34 seconds.Â
The Bison will rest up in preparation for the outdoor season.
