- Bucknell women's water polo heads to Princeton, N.J., to compete at the Princeton Invitational this weekend.
- Bucknell and Villanova will compete for a second week in a row after facing off last weekend at the Bucknell Invitational.
- Villanova started the game with solid momentum, swiftly outpacing Bucknell in the first half with a 5-4 run to secure an early lead.
-  For Bucknell, Izzy Lippolis, a junior from Greenwich, Conn., netted a goal, marking Bucknell's entry onto the scoreboard. Bella Schraa, a sophomore from Greenwich, Conn., tallied back-to-back goals, followed by senior captain Isabelle Monaghan in an attempt to close the gap to just one.
- Bucknell surged forward with momentum in the second half as freshman Campbell Collins scored a goal with 4:50 remaining, leveling the game at 6-6.
- Despite Bucknell's efforts to take the lead, Villanova countered by scoring four additional goals, ultimately seizing control and securing the lead to conclude the game.
- The Bison and Seahawks will have their third consecutive matchup this weekend. Wagner is currently 2-0 against Bucknell.
- Last time out, No.18 Wagner earned itself a 6-0 run in a fast start, taking an advantageous 11-3 win over the Bison in the day's first game.
- Bucknell was held scoreless until the second quarter when Caitlin Stott, a freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa, found the back of the net to put the Bison on the board.
- Monaghan and Schraa tallied the final two points for the Bison in the second half.
- Bucknell and Mount St. Mary's have not faced off since the 2022 season before the Mount moving to the MAAC conference.
- The last time out between the teams was one for the record books as Monaghan scored a program record of 10 goals. The ten goals by Monaghan broke a two-year-old school record that was held by Bison great Ally Furano. Furano set the mark with eight goals on Feb. 1, 2020, in Bucknell's win over No. 24 Marist on the season's opening day.
- The team set a new school program record of 27 goals in the 27-9 victory. The 27 goals by the team were also the most in program history, breaking the previous mark of 26 against Gannon in 2011.
- The Bison left no doubt in this one from the get-go, scoring the first six goals of the game before Beatrice Viera found the back of the cage for The Mount in the first period.
- The Bison added three more goals, two from Boati Motau on either side of a goal by Chloe Smith, to take an 8-1 lead at the end of the first. Bucknell extended that lead to eight at the half, 13-5, and cruised to a 27-9 victory.
- Monaghan was one of ten Bison to find the scoresheet, with Ali Jackson (4), Ally Furano (3), Larissa Hodzic (2), Motau (2), and Sidney Finkler (2) each contributing multiple goals. Furano's seven assists were one shy of the program record, while Motau also recorded six assists.
- Bucknell and Siena face off for a second time this season, previously seeing competition against the Saints, earning the Bison their first 13-9 win to kick off the season.
- Bucknell used sensational defense to keep the Saints in check and keep Siena winless against the Bison.
- The Bison went on a 7-2 run in the first half, seeing goals from Stott, Monaghan, Gwen Kallmeyer, Schraa, and Collins.
- Continuing its lead, Bucknell kept its foot on the gas as it never allowed Siena to catch up. The Saints attempted to close the gap to just five goals; however, the Bison scored four more to extend their lead once again.
