
Women's Lacrosse Falls to No. 10 Loyola at Home Wednesday

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's lacrosse team took on 10th-ranked Loyola at Graham Field Wednesday evening, and the Greyhounds continued their outstanding season with a 21-5 victory over the Bison.
They Greyhounds raced to an early 6-0 lead before the Bison were able to respond, and Loyola carried a 13-3 advantage into halftime. The Greyhounds extended their lead with five unanswered goals in the third quarter, but Tatumn Kohlbrenner scored twice in the fourth to finish as Bucknell's points leader. The junior added an assist in the second quarter as well and has seven points over the last two games.
Bucknell only trailed Loyola by five in shots, but the Greyhounds connected on nearly 80 percent of their 27 attempts. Loyola also held a 20-8 advantage in draw controls
Georgia Latch totaled eight points for Loyola, scoring five goals with three assists. Sydni Black chipped in four goals and an assist, while 11 Greyhounds found the back of the cage overall.
For the Bison, Megan Krestinski, Allie Boyce and Katie Browne added to their season goal totals. Boyce, who collected Patriot League and national honors this week after scoring 10 goals against American on Saturday, tallied her 44th of the season halfway through the second quarter to end a 5-0 Loyola run.
Junior Emily Baird led the Bison defensively with three caused turnovers and four ground balls. Senior Symone Ryans played the first 5:42 of the contest at goalie before being replace by freshman Julia Dembowitz, who totaled three saves in her third game of the season.
Loyola improved to 13-2 (6-0 PL) with the win, and Bucknell moved to 6-8 (2-5 PL).
