LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's track & field team completed day two of the Bison Open & Multi meet while also taking part in the Sykes & Sabock Challenge at Penn State on Saturday. The Bison packed the all-time top 10 list with six outstanding performances, including a near-record breaking performance by senior Ashlyn Ramos. Bucknell also saw a host of event winners in its fourth weekend of indoor competition.

"This was a great weekend overall for our women's team. We had six women make our all-time top 10 list, and we had some very good marks in all of our event areas," said head coach Kevin Donner. "I was especially pleased with how many of our women handle competing in multiple events over a two-day period. The Patriot League Championships is a war of attrition, as we only get to use 32 athletes for 15 individual events and three relays over a two-day period. Simulating this a month out will definitely pay off later. We will take next weekend off for a nice mental and physical break, and then we look forward to the second half of the indoor season. The team is gelling, and a lot of question marks are being answered."
Ramos was Bucknell's lone event winner at the Sykes & Sabock meet, taking first place in the 3,000 and landing second on the school's top 10 list with a 9:35.59. Ramos was eight seconds off the all-time mark, and she beat her previous best time by nearly 20 seconds.
Three others captured all-time top 10 marks at the Penn State meet. Junior Jennifer Scott now ranks seventh all-time in the pole vault, clearing 11-10.5. She tied for eighth at the meet. Fellow junior Jessie Castellano ran the eighth-best 400 time in school history (57.08), placing 11th among the strong field.
Senior Karly Forker placed 12th at the Sykes & Sabock meet in the mile, and her 4:56.63 time places her ninth on the top 10 list. Meanwhile, sophomore Meghan Quinn had an impressive showing in the 60m dash with a 7.78 in the prelims and a 7.79 in the finals to take sixth. She also ran a 25.50 in the 200, which was .08 seconds off her career-best that ranks seventh all-time.
In Lewisburg, the Bison collected seven more first-place finishes, and a number of other athletes posted top performances. Senior Michaela Bracken won the 500 with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:15.46, which ranks ninth on Bucknell's top 10 list.
Junior Mackenzie Turner took first in the 800 (2:18.53), sophomore Hollie Walters won the 1,000 (3:19.90), and Bucknell claimed the top three spots in the mile. Mia Bellucci placed first (5:15.73), Ally Clarke took second (5:19.68), and Hailey Taber finished third (2:21.81) in the event.
Bucknell produced three individual winners in field events. Sophomore Abby Kates won the high jump (5-03.75), while sophomore Olivia Boyce took third (4-11.00). Senior Gianna Macones won the long jump for a second straight meet, posting an 18-05.25. Lastly, junior Lexi Gray earned a first-place finish in the triple jump (37-03.00).
Other notable performances at the Bison Open & Multi meet included a second-place finish and personal best in the 400 by sophomore Colleen Linko (1:00.46), as well as a third-place finish from senior Bailie Rizzo (1:00.97).
Bucknell will have next weekend off before jumping back into competition at the VMI Invite on Friday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, Feb. 12.
