Women's Lacrosse Downed by No. 11 Loyola

BALTIMORE – No. 11 Loyola rolled to a 20-3 victory over the Bucknell women's lacrosse team on Friday night at the Ridley Athletic Complex.
The Greyhounds (8-2, 5-0 PL) stormed out to an early 7-0 lead and never looked back en route to defeating the Bison (3-4, 3-3 PL) for the second time this season.
For Loyola, 11 different players found the back of the net, with six enjoying multi-goal performances. Emily Wills (4g-2a) and Livy Rosenzweig (2g-3a) led the potent attack, with Rosenzweig also pacing all players with six draw controls. Defensively, Kaitlyn Larsson made eight saves while Elli Kluegel caused three turnovers.
For Bucknell, Laurel McHale netted two goals on free-position attempts and added two draw controls and one ground ball. Kali Peeples scored the other Bison goal. Lauren Kinnee made six saves and led all players with five ground balls.
The Greyhounds held an 11-1 advantage at halftime. They led in shots (33-13), shots on goal (26-11) and draw controls (16-8). The Bison won the ground-ball battle, 16-12.
Bucknell next travels to Army West Point for a 2 p.m. tilt on Saturday, April 24.
