About the Bison
• Bucknell put together two of its best performances of the season in wins over Marshall and Rutgers at the Thundering Herd Round Robin on Sunday. The two wins broke a seven-game losing skid that dated back to Feb. 21. The Bison held both teams to one run each, and Bucknell's hitters combined for 18 total hits on the day.
• Senior Halie Mariano has one of the hottest bats for the Bison right now. She has seven hits over the last five games and led the Bison with six RBIs over the weekend. Mariano also leads Bucknell in total RBIs this season with 13.
• Sophomore Allyse Volpe posted six hits over the weekend and leads the Bison with a .393 batting average. Three of Volpe's hits went for triples, and she now has four on the year. Her 13 stolen bases rank eighth in the NCAA.
• Jess Hom is second behind Volpe in hits (17), batting average (.370), and triples (3). Hom also finished with six hits over the weekend and now leads the Bison with eight walks and 13 runs scored.
• As a team, the Bison have posted double-digit hits in seven games, including 11 in Sunday's win over Rutgers.
• In the circle, the Bison lead the Patriot League in strikeouts thrown. Senior Raeanne Geffert has a team-high 97 strikeouts and has thrown 10+ in three games. Geffert is one save away from tying the program record of six.
• Kaiya Burton sports a 3-2 record in the circle after picking up a win against Rutgers on Sunday. The freshman also has a team-best 3.08 ERA.
Scouting the Opponents
• Virginia – The Cavaliers possess an 8-12 overall record, but have dropped each of the last eight contests. Most recently, they were swept in a three-game series by Virginia Tech. Virginia also has a 2-0 loss to Boston U. out of the Patriot League.
• George Washington – The Colonials sit at 8-13 this season and still have Virginia Tech on the schedule before facing the Bison on Wednesday. George Washington is 5-2 when playing at home this season.
Series History with the Opponents
• Virginia – Tuesday will be the first-ever meeting between Bucknell and Virginia. Virginia is 2-0 all-time against Patriot League opponents.
• George Washington – The Bison are 5-2 all-time against the Colonials, dating back to 2003. The two teams last faced in 2013 with Bucknell winning 4-3 on the road.

• Bucknell challenges Elon and Maine over the weekend at the Elon Softball Cardinal Invite. The Bison will face both teams twice between Friday, March 13 and Sunday, March 15.
