Softball Places Four Student-Athletes on CSC Academic All-District Team

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell Softball continued its history of scholastic success by placing four members on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team announced on Tuesday. It marks the second straight year the Bison accomplished the feat. The four honorees were Molly Lawson, Shea Malone, Brooke Popella, and Haley Speicher.Â

Speicher, a senior, earned the laurel for a third time while Popella, a junior, became a two-time honoree. Fellow juniors Lawson and Malone received the designation for the first time.Â
Speicher joined former teammate Madison Roukey (2023, 2024, and 2025) as the latest three-time honoree in program history and the fifth overall. Stacey Spitko (1986, 1987, and 1988), Stacey Waite (1998, 1999, and 2000), and Lauren Wible (2004, 2005, and 2006) were the three other recipients.Â
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
