Softball Announces Signing Class

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Head coach Angela Stackhouse inked six talented players as part of her first recruiting class. The class reflects a balanced approach to roster building with every position being covered. Four players hail from Pennsylvania and one each from California and Virginia.
"Our incoming class marks an important milestone for our program as my first recruiting class at Bucknell," Stackhouse said. "This group reflects the qualities we are committed to building our program around—grit, resilience, competitiveness, and a relentless work ethic. Beyond their individual talent, they were recruited to complement the foundation already in place, adding depth, versatility, and balance across our roster. Every recruiting class should strengthen the whole, and this group fits the vision of where we want Bucknell Softball to go. They understand that success is earned through preparation, accountability, and a team-first mindset. We are excited to welcome them to Bucknell and believe they will play a significant role in shaping the future of our program."
Ella Berkebile, from Greensburg, Pa., adds Western Pennsylvanian grit to the Bison roster as a catcher and outfielder. Her high school, Hempfield Area, has placed multiple softball players in the Division I field. The team won several WPIAL titles during her tenure. Berkebile ranks third in doubles, fourth in catcher pickoffs, and fifth in home runs and RBIs in Hempfield Area history.Â
Carly Bickle, from West Chester, Pa., brings a versatile skill set to the Bison defense as a second baseman and shortstop. West Chester East captured the 2024 and 2025 Chesmont League titles. She was Second Team All-State and hit .451 as a senior.Â
Haley Litzelman, from nearby Roaring Branch, Pa., follows Stackhouse's career by returning local flavor to the Bison lineup. The North Penn-Liberty product is a pitcher/utility dual-threat. Her team won the District 4 AAA Softball Championship in 2023. Litzelman collected over 100 hits and numerous First Team honors during her high school career.Â
Hailey Mroczka, from Trenton, Pa., supplies another backstop option while also possessing the versatility to play elsewhere in the field.. The Mahanoy Area alumna was a team captain and a three-time District First Team and three-time League Team honoree. She hit .393 during her scholastic career.Â
Danika Sanchez, from Porterville, Calif., travels East to restock the Bison pitching arsenal with another arm. A star pitcher for Monache High School, she earned Second Team East Yosemite League honors and led the team to two conference titles. Sanchez is a dual-threat with three home runs and seven triples.
Cayden Sparks, from Round Hill, Va., adds a bolt of strength to the Orange & Blue team as a catcher/outfielder. The Woodgrove product was a late add, decommitting from Kent State to Bucknell. She earned First Team All-Region honors once and Second Team All-Region recognition twice. Her high school won two state titles. She posted a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage in 2024.Â
Bucknell's fall schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.Â
