LEWISBURG, Pa. – A late free kick tapped home by Mount St. Mary's Karamo Bah was the decider as the Mountaineers took home a 2-1 win at Emmitt Field in a hard-fought, physical contest on Friday evening. Bucknell had battled back from a 1-0 deficit on a penalty kick from Matt Thorsheim, but the Mount found the winning goal with 13 minutes to go to take the win.
Mount St. Mary's improves to 2-0 this season, while Bucknell falls to 1-2.

A tightly contested first half didn't yield many chances until the 13th minute, when a nice pass from the midfield found Eddie Perez-Pelaez near the right side of the 18. The in-form striker slotted a low shot at the near post, but the shot was easily covered by the Mount goalkeeper Andrew Chwalick.
The next big chance for the Bison came when freshman Jameson Railey found himself just a few yards from goal with the ball bouncing. Railey struck a low half-volley in the 23rd minute that Chwalick was once again up for the task in making a good save.
The game became increasingly more physical as the half went on, with strong challenges from both sides to end the first half.
The Mount began to pressure the Bucknell goal near the end of the first half, with Kyle Davis forcing an acrobatic save from Emmett Witmer that the senior managed to palm over the crossbar.
The Mountaineers managed one last corner kick with about 20 seconds to go in what proved to be a huge momentum swing for the visitors. The corner kick was whipped in at the back post, and bounced around until it fell to the feet of Juan Molina. Molina put the ball back in the danger area on a hard shot, where it found the foot of defender Boris Nana Tonzi, who tapped home the goal with just one second before the halftime whistle.
Bucknell rallied in the second half, with several good spells of possession before Stefan Gollisz nearly equalized on a good chance, but his effort flashed just wide of the goal.
The Bison finally found the breakthrough in the 67th minute, when Jacob Mittman was bowled over in the box by a Mount defender after working to get the ball inside the penalty area.
Matt Thorsheim stepped up and rifled his first goal of the year from the penalty spot as Bucknell once again came from behind to equalize on its home field after fighting back to tie the game against Fairleigh Dickinson one week prior.
Patrick O'Hara, who scored his first ever goal for the Orange and Blue in the win over Canisius on Sunday, nearly made it two in two as he latched onto a beautiful curling free kick from Thorsheim in the 70th minute, but his shot was wide of the left post.
Thorsheim had one more chance to give Bucknell the lead, when he found some space near the top of the box to turn and strike a powerful volley. However, the shot sailed high of the goal to keep things knotted at one.
The Mount found the breakthrough in the 78th minute after a hard-struck shot from Molina bounced awkwardly in front of Witmer, Bah was on hand to tap home the winner when the goalmouth scramble ensued as Mount St, Mary's eventually took the win, 2-1.
The physical contest had 48 fouls combined, and featured six yellow cards between the two teams.
Bucknell outshot the Mountaineers 14-10 overall, with the Mount holding a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The Bison will continue their three-game homestand with a Saturday afternoon contest against Drexel on Sept. 14.Gallery: (9/6/2019) Men's Soccer vs. Mount St. Mary's
