Lapworth, Roskos and Sullivan Selected to United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Seniors Freddie Lapworth and Jackson Sullivan and sophomore Drew Roskos were named to the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic All-Region First Team on Tuesday. The Bison trio are the most players named to the All-Region First Team in team history for a single season.
The trio becomes the 14th, 15th and 16th players named to the First Team. Lapworth joins Mark Brotherton, Dave Domsohn, Michael Lookinglad and Brendan Burgdorf as the only players to make the First Team twice after the Banbury, England native was named to the First Team in 2024.
Roskos and Sullivan are first-time honorees on the All-Region squads, and both players were major award winners in the Patriot League and First Team selections. Sullivan, a three-year captain for the Bison, was the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. Roskos was the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league in goals and points.
Sullivan anchored the defense to one of the top defensive sides in Patriot League action. Overall, the Bison allowed 21 goals to rank third amongst Patriot League sides. In just Patriot League play, Bucknell and Colgate led the league with only five goals allowed. In nine league games, only Boston U. and Lehigh scored as the Bison kept seven shutouts. Bucknell goalkeepers also faced minimal shots, ranking 10th in saves.
The La Grange Park, Illinois native also scored his first career goals for the Bison, grabbing five points on two goals and an assist. Sullivan's first career goal came from the penalty spot at Maryland, who reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. His goal sparked a two-goal comeback as fellow senior center back Ben Sheffield netted the tying goal in the final minutes. Sullivan also scored the match-winning goal against Saint Francis and tallied an assist in that match.
Roskos led the league with 17 points and eight goals on his way to a major award and First Team selection. The Delran, New Jersey native was a constant threat on the attack, ranking second in the league in both shots (51) and shots on target (26). Roskos did score in the first five matches but got going midway through the season with nine goal contributions in 13 matches.
Roskos set a career-high with five points on two goals and an assist against Saint Francis. The forward scored game-winning goals in 1-0 victories against both Navy and Holy Cross, and he scored Bucknell's lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Boston U. in the Patriot League tournament.
Lapworth was named to the All-Patriot League First Team, and he held a .710 save percentage and recorded six shutouts to rank fourth in the league. His six shutouts all came in league action as the Bison led the league with seven in league action.
The senior goalkeeper was the 2025 Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, and he was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List and the United Soccer Coaches Goalkeepers to Watch List prior to the season.
Lapworth was also named the Academic All-Patriot League squad, and Roskos was selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Bucknell finished the year 9-4-5 overall with a 4-2-3 record in the Patriot League. Bucknell's season came to an end in the Patriot League quarterfinals, falling to Boston U. 3-1.
