About the Bison
• Bucknell is 6-6 after going 2-1 at Georgetown's District Classic last weekend. The Bison posted wins over Howard (11-3) and Brown (9-0), and had a 9-8 loss to Harvard in 12 innings.
• Taylor Wolfgang was named the Patriot League Player of the Week after going 7-for-10 with four runs, eight RBIs, four doubles and two home runs at Georgetown.
• Allyse Volpe was picked as the Patriot League Rookie of the Week after going 7-for-11 with five runs, four RBIs, one double, two triples, and one home run.
• Volpe is on an eight-game hitting streak.
• Raeanne Geffert closed the tournament with a two-hit shutout in the win over Brown. She struck out eight batters.
• Violet Matlock made her first career start and picked up the win against Howard. She went four innings and allowed just one earned run.
Scouting the Opponents
• UNLV is 15-4 after an 11-0 win in five innings over San Diego. The Rebels are hitting .350 and have hit 13 home runs.
• Stanford is 16-2 and has a 10-game winning streak. Included in that streak were wins over then-No. 7 LSU and then-No. 23 Northwestern. The Cardinal pitching staff has a 1.72 ERA.
• UMass Lowell is 4-6 after a 5-1 loss to Charleston. Courtney Cashman is hitting .556 (15-27) with six doubles and three home runs.
