• The Bison are currently 2-6 (1-0 Patriot League) after scoring six unanswered goals to down American, 11-8, in their Patriot League opener on March 17.
• In 2018, Bucknell went 3-13 (1-8 Patriot League). The Bison, who placed ninth in the Patriot League a year ago, were picked to finish in the same spot in 2019, as voted on by the league's coaches and sports information directors in the preseason poll.
• Bucknell qualified for back-to-back Patriot League Tournaments for the second time in program history in 2016 and 2017. The Bison were young and inexperienced a year ago, having lost three of their top five point producers and their two All-Patriot League honorees from 2017. Half of their Patriot League losses in 2018 came by three goals or fewer.
• Bucknell's captains are Callie DeWitt, Jamisen DeWitt, Sarah Dohler and Audrey Walsh. All four are first-time captains and will lead a young team featuring 21 underclassmen.
• J. DeWitt was recognized on the 2019 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. A 2018 All-Patriot League Second Team honoree, she led the Patriot League and finished ninth nationally in saves per game (10.75) that season.
• The Bison return their top four leading scorers from a year ago in Eve Calabria (19g-14a), Morgan Steinhacker (18g), Walsh (14g-3a) and Lillie Hunt (8g-8a).
• Walsh, who battled injuries throughout the 2018 campaign, previously led the team in scoring as a sophomore in 2017. That year, she racked up 46 points (26g-20a).
• Remington Steele is his second year at the helm of the Bucknell women's lacrosse team.

UMBC at a Glance
• Bucknell and UMBC's game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 6 but was postponed due to inclement weather.
• The Retrievers are currently 2-7 (0-1 America East) after falling at Johns Hopkins, 17-7, on Tuesday.
• UMBC has faced off against two Patriot League teams to date, topping American (9-8 OT) and falling to Lehigh (15-7) on March 2.
• The Retrievers were selected to place fifth in the 2019 America East Coaches' Preseason Poll.
• A year ago, UMBC finished 11-6 (3-4 America East). The Retrievers return one of their three 2018 All-America East honorees in Lauren McDonald. They must replace Carolyn Jamison, who also became UMBC's first IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region selection since 2011 a year ago. Â
• This will be the 13th meeting between the Bison and Retrievers. The teams faced off every year from 1987 to 1997, accounting for 11 of their contests.
• In the most recent game during the 2007 campaign, UMBC prevailed, 13-5, in Baltimore.
No. 14 Navy at a Glance
• The Mids are currently 6-2 (1-0 Patriot League) on the season. This week, they were slotted 14th in the IWLCA Coaches and Inside Lacrosse Media Polls.Â
• Navy will be Bucknell's second ranked opponent of the 2019 campaign. In their opener at then No. 14/11 Virginia Tech, the Bison dropped a 14-4 decision.
• The Mids were chosen to place second in the Patriot League in the preseason poll behind Loyola. They placed three players on the Preseason All-Patriot League Team: Kelly Larkin, Andie O'Sullivan and Marie Valenti.
• A year ago, Navy went 18-4 (8-1 Patriot League), winning its second-straight Patriot League Tournament and advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals. In the NCAA quarterfinals, the Mids gave defending champion Maryland a run for its money, ultimately falling by a slim 17-15 margin.
• In 2017, Navy became the first Patriot League team to advance to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Final Four. The Mids also won 18 games that season, finishing with an 18-5 record.Â
• Navy has won all 11 of its games against Bucknell. The teams first met in 2008.
• Last season, the Mids cruised to an 18-5 victory over the Bison at Graham Field. They pulled away with a 12-0 run that stretched from the 15:56 mark of the first half to the 17:32 mark of the second.Â

• The Bison host Lafayette on Wednesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Colgate for a 1 p.m. tilt on Saturday, March 30.
