Bucknell Men's Golf Grabs First-Round Lead at Colgate Invitational

HAMILTON, N.Y. - Charlie Waddell's even-par 72 was tops among five Bucknell scores in the 70s, and the Bison took the first-round lead with a team total of 298 in the first round of the Colgate Invitational on Saturday at Seven Oaks Golf Club.
The Bison were the only team in the field of 17 to break the 300 barrier on Saturday. Cornell is in second place, three shots back, at 301. Rider (304), Binghamton (306) and Saint Francis (Pa.) (306) round out the top five.
Waddell is in third place in the individual standings after matching par with a 72. Also for Bucknell, Ben Pellicani shot 74, Ryan Hom 75, Tom Lane 77 and Alex Dolle 79.
The Colgate Invitational resumes on Sunday morning with the final 18 holes.
