About the Bison
- Bucknell gets its spring season going this weekend with a trip to Arizona for the Loyola Invitational at Palm Valley GC. This will be the Bison's sixth appearance in this event, which typically features low scores up and down the field.
- Bucknell's lineup will feature Jack Hartman, Patrick Pritsios, James Robbins, Hayden Quinn, and Henry Bolster, with Hunter Duncan playing as an individual.
- The Bison played in five fall tournaments, with a top finish of T-4th at Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial.
- Sophomores Hartman (73.6) and Pritsios (74.9) were the two low Bison in terms of scoring average in the fall. Hartman had three under-par rounds and a top finish of 3rd at Colgate. Of his 15 fall rounds, 12 were 75 or better.
- Pritsios fired a 2-under 70 at the Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock and closed out the fall season with rounds of 72-73-74 at the Bucknell Invitational.
- Quinn averaged 77.5 in the fall, capped by a 1-under 69 in the final round of the season at the Bucknell invitational. Bolster also had a strong 71-71 finish in that event.
- This is the first of six spring events for the Bison, culminating with the Patriot League Championship at West Point Apr. 24-26.
- Bucknell finished T-4th at last year's Patriot League Championship, and the Bison returned both of their all-league honorees in sophomores Hartman and Pritsios.
- This is Bucknell's sixth appearance at Loyola's spring event in Arizona. The team's best finish there has been sixth, but some of the best scores in program history have come on this Palm Valley course.
- Bucknell has posted 5-under or better as a team 10 times in its history, and seven of those rounds have come at the Loyola Invitational. That includes a school-record, 7-under 281 in 2024.
- Former Bison Alex Creamean fired a school-record 64 here in 2024, making seven birdies and an eagle on the way to his 7-under tally.
- Last year, then-freshman Jack Hartman shot 72-69-66 to finish at 9-under for the week. That was only good for sixth place, however, as five players hit double digits under par. Boise State's Cole Rueck was the medalist at -16 (68-66-66).
- Richmond won the 2025 team championship at 29-under 835 (277-279-279). Bucknell placed 15th with rounds of 296-298-288. In 2024, North Dakota State claimed the title at a whopping 40-under par.
- Bucknell's next tournament will be the UC San Diego Invitational at famed Torrey Pines in La Jolla March 22-24.
