Bucknell Men's Golf Concludes Fall Campaign with Second-Place Finish at Hofstra Invitational

BETHPAGE, N.Y. - Four Bucknell golfers finished in the top 16 individually, sparking the team to a second-place finish at the Hofstra Fall Invitational at the Bethpage State Park Red Course over the weekend. The Bison had rounds of 297 and 302 and finished four shots behind tournament champion Saint Francis (Pa.).
Charlie Waddell finished in ninth place overall with rounds of 72-77. Alex Dolle (75-76) and Keita Aoki (76-75) tied for 11th place at 151. Tom Lane's 74 was Bucknell's low final round. He finished tied for 16th at 152. Ryan Hom opened with a 74 on Friday but slipped to 83 in the final round and tied for 41st.
Long Island and Laval tied for third place, two strokes behind Bucknell at 601. Quinnipiac (605), Siena (606), Monmouth (610), Lafayette (618), Wagner (622), Hofstra (625), Fairleigh Dickinson (625), Sacred Heart (642) and Pace (651) rounded out the 13-team field.
Craig Cyr of Quinnipiac took the individual title with matching 71s. He finished two shots ahead of Matt Kleinrock of FDU, who carded a pair of 72s.
Bucknell's fall season is now complete. The Bison resume play on Apr. 8-9 at the Lafayette Invitational.
