Born May 15, 1990 in Elmira, N.Y. ... son of John and Christine Sharkey ... has a brother, Connor ... father played hockey at Rutgers and mother was a member of the equestrian team at Kenyon ... earned four varsity letters in both lacrosse and soccer at Notre Dame High School ... in lacrosse was a a two-time team MVP and captain as a senior ... earned all-section honors three times, including first-team nods in 2008 and 2009 ... Section 4 Exceptional Senior in 2009 ...
