Update from Head Volleyball Coach Tyler Hagstrom -- September 2024

Dear Bucknell Volleyball Friends and Family,
Welcome to the new volleyball season! We are so glad to be wearing our game day jerseys again (including a new white jersey that we will wear at our home opener on September 20!), and we’re looking forward to being at home after spending the first three weekends on the road. We hope to see you in Davis Gym!
In early August, our 11 returning student-athletes and three newcomers reported to campus a couple of weeks before classes to start our preseason training. This is possibly the most experienced, game-tested roster I’ve had in my time at Bucknell, and our 8-1 record is on par with the best start in program history. At the same time, we anticipate the upcoming Patriot League season to be one of the most challenging yet with a lot of parity and competitiveness. Two years ago we returned to the Patriot League tournament after years of missing out, and last year we hosted a first-round match. This year our goals are set on a championship, so we still have much work to do!
Senior Jordan Hardy recently was named Patriot League Preseason Libero of the Year for the second year in a row, and in our second weekend of competition, she became the all-time digs leader at Bucknell and broke into the top-10 career digs list in
Patriot League history. Sophomore Sidney Shaffer also was named to the preseason All-Patriot League team.
Your support of our program has had a direct impact on our student-athletes' experiences so far this fall. We are so grateful for helping to make all of those things possible.
