Dear Bison Volleyball Alumni, Family, and Friends,
The culmination of another academic year in Lewisburg is here, and before our players depart for the summer, I would like to share one more update on our program.
Thank you, again, for your generosity and support during One Herd One Day!
Our spring training finished on a high note with two quick trips to Princeton and Villanova. Every player on the team has been working hard, and these spring scrimmages allow us to put into practice what we’ve been building and refining over the past couple of months. It’s been fun to play with a variety of lineups and see our players step up in different ways. The past two seasons have featured a lot of younger players in major roles, and in the fall, those student-athletes will complement another exciting first-year class.
Following our scrimmage at Villanova, we also hosted an alumni gathering in Lewisburg at Bull Run Tap House. While we know it can be a challenge for our alumni to return to campus, we are hopeful of growing future gatherings. We’ve even had a few requests for an alumni match in Davis Gym!
Up next: A little rest and relaxation for us all! May is a quiet period for recruiting, so our staff will start reflecting on this year and begin planning in earnest for the upcoming season. We also will prepare for our summer camps in July, including a new all-skills offering to help grow the sport in the area. We’re really excited that Lewisburg Area High School has decided to field a volleyball team next year and look forward to supporting that endeavor!
As always, thank you for your continued support!
