Men’s Golf Underway at The Goat

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell men's golf team is off to a tough start at The Goat, hosted by Navy at the Naval Academy Golf Club. The Bison posted rounds of 308 and 304 on Saturday and sit at the bottom of the 14-team field with one more round to come on Sunday.
Senior Taylor Kuehn shot 76-73 and is the low Bison in a tie for 42nd place. Kuehn made five birdies in his opening round but was held back by four tough holes, and then he made two birdies and 13 pars on the way to the 2-over 73 in the afternoon.
Freshman Charlie Barrickman also improved by three shots from a 77 to a 74. Junior Jack Hartman shot 77-78, and freshman Brad McDermott also posted two counting scores with 78-79. Freshman Conner Freedman, playing as an individual, posted 80-76 in his collegiate debut.
William & Mary (570) enters the final round with a one-shot lead over George Washington (571). Both teams shot 3-under 281s in round two. Georgetown (579) is nine shots off the pace, and Saint Joseph's and Holy Cross are tied for fourth at 583.
UConn's Kai Jun Huang fired a 5-under 66 in the opening round and followed it up with a 74. Georgetown's Carson Erick (68-73) and GW's Patricio Gonzalez (73-68) are also in red numbers at 1-under, one shot behind Huang. Seven other players are even par through 36 holes.
Bucknell's tee times start at 9:30 a.m. off the No. 10 tee on Sunday.
